For those we lost, We will not forget 09/11/2001 “Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what we may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty. The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”

U.N. failing to enforce resolutions in Lebanon, as usual

Jay Tuch, the American Israeli Patriot points out that Hezbollah is re-arming in Lebanon while the U.N. watches and does nothing to enforce it's own security council resolutions, in particular UNSCR 1701.

The Times Online is carrying a story about the stockpiling of new weapons in southern Lebanon:

“Hezbollah will never leave southern Lebanon,” said Shaul Mofaz, the former defence minister, last week. “It’s now armed with rockets that could hit central and even southern Israel.”

Why is it that nobody ever believes the words of these people? When the former Israeli defense minister speaks, the U.N. ignores it. When Israel raises the alarm, the U.N. never listens. Never.

Israeli military intelligence sources say there is particular concern over long-range Fatah-110 rockets that have been supplied to Hezbollah.

This rocket, with a 125-mile range and a 500lb warhead, is an improved version of a Chinese assault rocket, said Uzi Rubin, an Israeli missile expert. These rockets could reach Tel Aviv if hostilities resume.

I've said it before, to a terrorist, the words "cease fire" simply mean stop shooting at me so that I have a chance to reload. To the U.N. the word "disarm" apparently means nothing other than "rearm in secret".

Security Council resolution 1701 calls for "Israel and Lebanon to support a permanent ceasefire and a longterm solution". You know what's missing there don't you?

Nowhere in that resolution is Hezbollah mentioned at all. Lebanon is called upon to secure its borders, and calls for the U.N. to support the securing of those borders. The resolution also calls for the blockade of the importation of weapons without the Lebanese government's consent.

Meanwhile, under the "watchful eye" of the United Nations Hezbollah rearms and nothing is done.

The U.N. is worthless. Their resolutions do nothing except buy time for terrorists to re-equip and resume hostilities.
