For those we lost, We will not forget 09/11/2001 “Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what we may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty. The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”

After a long wait it's finally here. This just arrived at the door less than 15 minutes ago...

Time to put on a pot of coffee, barricade the door and devour it.

[Update] I've finished reading the book, and I'm truly impressed. This was the best book of the seven. So many loose threads were so neatly tied off.

It has been a long time since I read a book that concluded a series that was so well executed. Nothing was "convenient" about the way plot twists were tied up. There weren't any easy answers, and this book had my emotions twisted several times.

Science Fiction and Fantasy writing has long been my favorite genre. There is little in that genre that I think compares to this final book. I recommend it highly to anyone that is curious.

Devourus Interruptus!

I got about a third of the way through the book when my wife decided we should go watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It was a rather pleasant diversion, and the best of the Harry Potter movies by far.

There were a few things I found disappointing about the movie, but after all, it was a LONG book and there was a lot to cram into that short period of time. I can't say that I agree with the one reviewer at IMDB that's hilighted. This movie didn't suck.

We now return to our regularly scheduled reading of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
