For those we lost, We will not forget 09/11/2001 “Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what we may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty. The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”

A bheil Gàidhlig agaibh?

Oregon

Well we got here. It's not really that far, but today it seemed like it. I've never seen so much traffic on a trip from Covington, WA to Florence, OR. A trip that normally takes about six hours took about eight and a half. We did stop for about an hour for lunch and to give the kids a chance to feed and burp the baby.

Probably the worst traffic we encountered was south of Fort Lewis, nearly all the way to Olympia. It was bumper to bumper for an hour.

That would have been really frustrating, except for the entertainment. The woman in the car in front of us looked like she was freaking out with road rage at first glance. She was shaking her head frenetically, and yelling, pumping her fists and rocking back and forth in her car.

It turned out though that she was just listening to music and was one of the most avid headbangers I've ever seen. Between songs she'd settle down, and once for a couple of minutes she must have been listening to a quieter song, but as soon as her music got rowdy again she was at it again. When her car was stopped we could hear the music and see it bouncing up and down as she "danced" to the music.

It made for fine entertainment.
