It's cold outside
Published Sun, Dec 14 2008 10:39 AM
Well, it's cold for here anyway. The temperatures are in the twenties. There's a bit of snow on the ground. The streets near here are icy. I think we got maybe a half an inch yesterday.
We get snow here maybe once or twice a year. It snowed on Friday night, and a little yesterday. The skies are partly cloudy now but the sun is peeking through. Temperatures are supposed to drop into the teens for the next couple of days and then start warming up by Wednesday. But there's snow in the forecast for Wednesday too.
Thank God I can work remotely. I hate driving on ice.

IMO, anyone who doesn't hate driving on ice (well, except in an isolated and otherwise unoccupied parking lot *heh* Can you say "super skidpad"? Multi-360s--wheee!) needs a brain transplant. |

 | *heh* Day 2 for my Wonder Woman to have off from teaching. The residential and back roads are, if anything, slicker today than yesterday. Local guy who owns a lot of rentals in the area is doing more sanding than the city. Couple of guys in the back of a pickup... |

 | I blame global warming. Oh wait. It's climate change now. In other words, the turn of the seasons. |
