For those we lost, We will not forget 09/11/2001 “Our God given unalienable rights are given to us all as individuals. They tell us what we may do for ourselves, and they are the embodiment of liberty. The so-called rights that government gives to some of us are parcelled out to select groups as classes. They tell us what one class of people may require another to do for them, and they are the very essence of slavery.”

A bheil Gàidhlig agaibh?

I'm back (again)

Published Thu, Dec 25 2008 9:31 PM

In case any of you are still interested in my ramblings, I'm back. I've been in the hospital for a while where the issue was in a bit of doubt.

It seems that a week and a half ago I fell ill with a massive sinus infection, which led to nausea and an inability to eat. Since I wasn't eating, I got stupid and stopped taking my diabetes medications. I developed Diabetic Keto-Acidosis and found myself in Urgent Care last Friday night. After a few hours and three liters of IV fluids I was released, and told if I wasn't better the next day to go to the emergency room.

Well, I seemed better. Until Saturday night. At about 3:00 AM I started vomiting regularly about once every hour to hour and a half, and ended up in the emergency room on Sunday. From there it was straight to intensive care. I didn't leave the ICU until Tuesday afternoon, and was finally released from the Hospital at about 6:00PM tonight.

Blogging will be light for a while, but I'm back.

Oh how sorry I am to hear this Perri. I was wondering what happened to you, but figured it was just holiday business.

I hope you are better now and stay out of that hospital. Please take care of yourself.

I am pre-diabetic. Been so for half a year now, trying to keep it from going all the way. It is not easy resisting all the goodies during the holidays so to be honest, I failed miserably.

I am going Monday for my three month blood sugar check and cholesterol check. I am hoping my numbers dropped down some more as they did last time. My cholesterol is controled [Zocor].

I am glad you are out and I will pray for you and sending you a a BIG get well soon my friend!
