Technorati Tags: Cool Stuff
While I was reading the newsfeeds I subscribe to, I happened across the AnswerTips widget on the CBS news site. I figured "what the heck" and decided I'd give it a try. It's a small bit of script that adds that little AnswerTips icon you see just below the tagline.
What's cool about it is you can double-click just about any word that appears on the blog and up will pop a tool window with context sensitive information about what you clicked. It seems to be less of a pain than the Snap Preview Anywhere widget, since it doesn't "get in the way" of hyperlinks and it serves a fairly useful purpose, giving definitions for words and information about names.
Let me know what you think of it, or if it's yet another one of those technological bits of fluff that you think the site could do without.
