Robert Alan Soloway, the "Spam King" pled guilty to three federal charges related to his spamming business yesterday according to the Seattle Times.
Soloway was arrested last summer. Prosecutors said he used networks of compromised computers to send out millions upon millions of junk e-mails since 2003.
The good news is he could get as much as twenty years in prison. The bad news is the other 37 charges were dropped.
Mail fraud. Wire Fraud. Tax Evasion. No charges related to the compromised computers? At least another spammer gets served a steaming plateful.
Now if the Feds could find a way to do the same to trackback and comment spammers.

 | It's about time! I do not like those spammers. I have one name which is being used for several spammers with different IPS numbers. It is so frustrating, because they use a normal name (Daniel). Grrrr. They did finally stop, but that was a pain. Especially since it was my Loving God Holy site!
How are you doing, Perri? Just in case I did not let you know, my URL is now http://rosemarysthoughts.blogspot.com. I'm glad to finally find you again! ;) |

 | I'm glad you found me. I'm doing relatively well. Watching the Democrats fighting each other has become entertaining of late. |

 | arg!..spam!..I always wonder how its not illegal and above prosecution to spam our sites the way they do and get away with it! |
